Being a Lifestyle Member at Northampton Golf Club allows you to balance family commitments, your work life and other interests with all the benefits of being part of our great Private Member's Club. You can play whenever is convenient for you, use the practice facilities, hold a handicap, enter Competitions and make full use of our Clubhouse for fantastic food and drink.
As a Lifestyle Member, you will pay an Annual Subscription of £275 and then pay a relevant Green Fee, every time you play a round of golf. There are no tricks or hidden costs involved and no need for Proposers, just fill in an Application Form and enjoy the delights of modern golf at one of Northamptonshire’s most exclusive Golf Clubs.
Frequently Asked Questions About Being a Lifestyle Member
How do I Join?
Lifestyle Members can fill in an Application Form and submit to the Director of Golf. He will then meet you, give a tour of the facilities, answer any other questions and you can then start playing golf straight away once the Annual Subscription has been settled in full.
How can I pay for my fees and how do I book a tee time?
You can pay by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. Whenever you wish to play, you will need to telephone the Pro-shop in advance on 01604 845167 to find out Tee Time availability. On arrival at the Club, sign the Lifestyle Member book available in the Pro-shop or Bar, pay the relevant Green Fee, along with any guests you are inviting, and enjoy golf on our fantastic Championship Golf Course.
What is not included as a Lifestyle Member?
Lifestyle Members do not have any voting rights, cannot attend the AGM or any EGM, cannot represent the Club in official matches against other Clubs and cannot play in Trophy Competitions.
Am I allowed to bring guests?
You are allowed to up to 3 guests at any one time, apart from Saturday and Sunday Mornings before 12pm where NO guests can be introduced, and no guest can be introduced more than 7 times in any one calendar year. Group bookings/societies can be made by contacting the Director of Golf. Guests will be required to pay the applicable rates as advertised in the Professionals Shop.
Can I play in Club Competitions?
Yes, with the exception of established Trophy and Knockout Competitions and Matches against other Clubs, provided that you have a recognised CONGU Handicap and that you pay the relevant competition entry fee. A list of these are available on request following acceptance of Membership
If I don’t already have a CONGU handicap, how can I get one?
You must submit three complete rounds with another member(s) who must sign your cards. The Director of Golf will then assess your scores and issue you with a CONGU handicap.
Can I move from a Lifestyle Member to Full 7-Day, 6-Day or 5-Day Membership?
Yes, provided that there is space available in the category you wish to join. Please contact the Director of Golf for further information and the options available.
Can I pay for my Lifestyle Membership Monthly?
A monthly payment facility is not available for Lifestyle Members. The annual subscription must be paid up front by cheque, credit / debit card or cash.
What happens in the Clubhouse at Northampton Golf Club?
We hold numerous Social Events at Northampton Golf Club which you are entitled to attend with your friends and families. Full details of these are advertised around the clubhouse and also communicated electronically to members of the club.
As a Lifestyle Member, you will also receive up to 20% discount on beverage purchases at the bar.
Can I use the Pro-shop and Professional for Lessons?
Our resident Professional will look after any of your golfing needs from tee pegs to new sets of clubs. He and our other Professional Staff are also available for a huge range of tuition options including our specialist putting lessons in our exclusive indoor studio.
